Awards

Each year, four awards are typically conferred to students. Two students are selected to receive awards for outstanding ($100) and runner-up ($50) oral presentations and two students are selected to receive awards for outstanding ($100) and runner-up ($50) posters presented at the NEAP annual meeting. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for these awards. Students may receive the outstanding oral presentation or outstanding poster presentation award only once.

Owing to our status as an affiliate Society of the American Society of Parasitologists (ASP), the student receiving the outstanding oral presentation award at the annual NEAP meeting is entitled to an automatic Marc Dresden Student Travel Grant (MDSTG) from ASP to help defer the costs of their travel to that year’s annual ASP meeting to deliver an oral presentation. Information on how to apply for the MDSTG award is provided in ASP’s annual Call for Papers.
