About Us

The Southwestern Association of Parasitologists (SWAP) is a regional scientific society dedicated to the advancement of the disciplines of parasitology and promotion of parasitological research and teaching. Annual meetings of the SWAP provide a venue for informal discussion of research and teaching in parasitology, and fellowship among workers in parasitology and allied fields.

SWAP is a an affiliate of the American Society of Parasitologists.

By becoming a member of SWAP, you will join an outstanding group of scientists with whom you share a common interest. You will have the opportunity to make contacts with other scientists. As a student member, you will have the opportunity to present your work in a slightly less formal setting than a national meeting. Your voice will be represented at the American Society of Parasitologists council meeting  when you join your regional society.  Membership in SWAP will allow you to receive society and meeting information by email or regular mail.  Annual dues are $20 for regular membership and $2 for student membership.

Membership can be initiated or renewed by completing the Dues Notice form. The completed form and payment by check may be mailed to the Secretary Treasurer.  Please contact the Secretary Treasurer if you have questions regarding your current membership status or payment of dues.
